The size of your brain has to do with your number of friends on Facebook

How many friends do you have in your account to Facebook ? Perhaps you should pay attention to this issue as it could be crucial to your brain. This according to a new study says the number of users you have on the social platform is proportional to the size of this organ.

The investigation conducted by the University College London and published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B , scanned the brains of 125 college students compared with the number of friends who were on the Internet and in real life. Results showed that gray matter in four different parts the brain was greater when the individual had more contacts.

Some of these regions were associated flooding to emotional stimuli, memory and communication skills. On the other hand, scientists also examined the relationship between real friends and those online in the appearance affective. Their findings led to light that most participants used Facebook to enhance relationships with others who already had previously, instead of looking to make new friends.
