Becoming aware of the dangers of human papilloma virus

According to the Centers for Disease Control, over 80% of women living in the United States will contract at least one strain of human papilloma virus (HPV after their initials) the time they turn 50. Similarly, the disease disproportionately infected Latinos and African Americans at higher rates than other nationalities in the United States in both men and women . It is also estimated that 50% of people who have had sexual acquire the disease at some point in their lives, and each year totaling more than 6 million new cases, of which 74% occur in young people aged 15 to 24 years. More striking still are the thousands of victims of cervical cancer caused mainly by evil. To raise awareness of this problem which attacks are affecting more people, especially among youth, the University City College of New York will conduct an informative series about safer sex and sexually transmitted diseases. The activity will take place on Wednesday 30 November at 24:00 at the facilities of the institution.
