Dangerous bacteria found in hospitals

Usually we go to the hospital with the idea of seeking help against disease or to feel safe and well cared for while we recover. But a new study conducted by the School of Medicine, University of Maryland and published in the American Journal of Infection Control , and even debate this view argues that these sites may be even more dangerous to our health.

Through various analysis researchers found Acinetobacter baumannii, a bacterium resistant to drugs, 48% of the 50 hospitals visited during the course of a year. This species can produce pneumonia, bacteremia, urinary tract infections, meningitis, among other infections. also could find that 20% of supply carts, 16% of the flats, 14% of fusion pumps and 11.4% of the fans were contaminated with the bacteria. The greatest danger is that it is located on surfaces accessible to both patients and health providers, so it could seriously affect mainly people in delicate conditions who are more prone to infection , especially if they have an immune system on or some kind of skin burn.
